Transportation Improvement Program / Aviation and Transit Projects

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation awards federally funded grants to Airports and Transit providers. Proposed and upcoming projects are vetted and placed on PennDOT's Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for consideration as funding becomes available. Projects on the Department's TIP may be located and reviewed by clicking on the above link. That website can also be accessed by going to https://gis.penndot.gov/paprojects/TIP.aspx

When navigating to this website, you have the ability to view a map of Pennsylvania along with a few key features. After clicking "View Projects" you will have the ability view projects by a specific District, County, Planning Partner, House District, or Senate District within Pennsylvania. Or, you can specify a specific street address. Options in the "Legend" box allow you to display any or all of these types of projects.

Click on the check box for the appropriate projects. The map of Pennsylvania will now display TIP projects with a "Red Line", aviation projects with an "Airplane" icon, and transit projects with a "Bus" icon. Clicking on one of these icons will display more information about that project.
